Use this template to control the location, appearance and other aspects of the table of contents.

== Usage ==

* <code><nowiki>{{TOC}}</nowiki></code> → Force the table of contents to appear where this template is located
* <code><nowiki>{{TOC|left}}</nowiki></code> → Float it to the left
* <code><nowiki>{{TOC|right}}</nowiki></code> → Float it to the right
* <code><nowiki>{{TOC|compact}}</nowiki></code> → Compress the table of contents, useful for pages with alphanumeric sections
* <code><nowiki>{{TOC|category}}</nowiki></code> → Produce an alphanumeric table of contents to navigate large categories
* <code><nowiki>{{TOC|level=1}}</nowiki></code> → Only show sections in the first level (hide the rest)
